Situations arise when network assets have to be removed or relocated to reduce their impact or to allow for the development of adjoining land.
Reasons for moving or removing network assets
Situations when network assets might have to be removed or relocated include:
- to make way for new or modified infrastructure in a development
- to provide safety clearances as a result of a changed environment
- changed property boundaries
- to maintain appropriate lighting levels due to a changed environment
- asset redundancy
Please note the removal of assets within a registered easement on private property does not guarantee that the easement will also be relinquished.
Endeavour Energy requires a separate commercial agreement to be concluded prior to the easements being relinquished.
Approval to release a network easement is subject to the assessment of the network and monetary values of the easement to us. For more information, please refer to our property tenure requirements.
Where Endeavour Energy has accepted your application, an offer for a standard connection will be provided. Assets may be relocated or removed by developers who fund and arrange for the design and construction works under the contestable works framework.
