General PowerSavers FAQs

Why is Endeavour Energy conducting the PowerSavers program?

Endeavour Energy is transitioning to a modern grid and working with local communities to develop programs that use electricity more effectively and efficiently, while harnessing the rapid uptake of renewables. As a responsible business, we’re always looking to conserve natural resources while still meeting the energy demands of our customers.

The fast-growing use of air conditioners and other high energy consumption appliances in homes is having a large impact on the demand for electricity. On days of extreme temperatures, when large numbers of Western Sydney households and businesses use their appliances at the same time, there is a significant spike in power consumption, which is called ‘peak demand’.

Endeavour Energy is developing more sustainable ways of reducing this peak demand. PowerSavers is a new initiative to help our residential customers to use electricity more efficiently and earn rewards at the same time.

What are the different plans available under the PowerSavers program?

There are 5 plans in total offering smart device or gift card rewards:

Please note, for the Smart Thermostat, Smart Electric Vehicle Charger and Smart Hot Water System plans, you do not need an existing device to participate. But for the Smart Solar and Smart Battery plans, you must already have an eligible smart or controllable solar PV or battery inverter.

Will it cost me anything to participate in the PowerSavers program?

No - there is no cost for you to take part in the PowerSavers program and you will receive a smart device or gift card reward for each eligible plan you enrol in.

Where can the gift cards be used?

You can redeem your eGift card for one or multiple eGift cards from over 200 retail brands, up to the value of the eGift card.

Do I need to notify my energy retail provider that I am joining the PowerSavers program?

No - your retail arrangements will remain unchanged.

Can I enrol in more than one PowerSavers plan?

Yes! The more plans you enrol in, the more you can potentially save and earn in rewards.

Is this a different program from the previous PowerSavers program?

Yes, this is a new and separate program so you will need to create a PowerSavers account to participate.

How do I register to join the PowerSavers program?

You can register online by creating a PowerSavers account at powersavers.endeavourenergy.com.au. Then answer the onboarding questions, select the plan(s) you are eligible for and interested in, review the program terms and conditions and submit your registration of interest. Places are limited so please register as soon as possible online.

Can I enrol my existing devices or use the devices I will receive as part of PowerSavers, to participate in more than one program?

No, your device(s) can only be used for the PowerSavers program. The device(s) cannot also simultaneously be used to participate in another program run by energy retailers or other organisations.

What if I have any other questions during the program?

Simply email your enquiry to powersavers@endeavourenergy.com.au or phone Endeavour Energy on 133 718.

Can I adjust my air conditioner settings during the Event period?

Yes - however, any changes to your air conditioner settings during the Event period will be considered an opt-out and you will not earn points for participating in that Event Day. This may affect your chances of receiving any other rewards, if offered by Endeavour Energy, in addition to the smart device or gift card reward.
