Join NSW Energy Distributors for Webinar on NSW Distribution System Plan
Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, and Essential Energy are inviting industry to join them for a special webinar as they unpack and discuss key insights from the inaugural NSW Distribution System Plan (DSP), a groundbreaking roadmap for a faster, fairer energy transition.
Facilitated by KPMG, representatives from Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, Essential Energy and Endgame Analytics will explain how better utilisation of distribution networks can de-risk the transition to renewable energy, improve customer participation, and reduce cost pressures for households and businesses.
By being transparent about the potential the three networks can provide, Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy invite and welcome constructive consultation on this report from all stakeholders on the best way forward, with a shared goal to ensure that the benefits of the energy transition are shared equitably and that planning remains responsive to the needs and insights of our customers, communities, and partners. You can ask questions during the session or pre-submit them during registration.
Details: Monday, 24 November at 1.30pm - 3.30pm

About the Distribution System Plan (DSP): Download here: Opportunities Report | NSW DSP
The DSP represents the first time the three NSW electricity distribution businesses have come together to develop a single, unified view of how to fully leverage and optimise the existing distribution network to meet future energy needs.Independent modelling shows NSW could save between $2 billion to $4.3 billion by utilising available network capacity and integrating Consumer Energy Resources (CER) like rooftop solar, batteries, and electric vehicles. Connecting utility scale renewables and storage to the existing network and optimising consumer resources like solar, batteries, and electric vehicles will actively turning the network we have today into a dynamic and flexible platform, significantly reducing pressure on the system, accelerating the connection of clean energy, and ultimately reducing costs for customers and communities.
This unified approach provides a new, bottom-up perspective, complementing national planning and offering insights into emerging demand patterns and infrastructure needs at the local level.
