Endeavour Energy Appoints Danny Cooper as Chief Executive Officer

Endeavour Energy today announced the appointment of Danny Cooper as Chief Executive Officer, effective 2 March 2026. Danny will succeed Guy Chalkley, who after nearly six years of outstanding leadership has advised the Board of his decision to leave the organisation.

Following an extensive global search that assessed strong internal talent and external candidates, the Board selected Danny for his proven ability to deliver results and lead with purpose.

Danny joins Endeavour Energy from BGC Group, where he was CEO for more than six years, and consistently achieved outstanding performance while fostering a culture centred on customers, employees, and communities. Danny brings a wealth of experience to the role, having led teams and businesses in both Australian and international markets.

Danny’s track record in successfully driving strategy, operational excellence, and leading large-scale transformation initiatives, particularly in digitalisation, safety, and customer engagement gives the Board confidence that he is the right person to lead Endeavour Energy through its next phase of growth.

He is recognised for his energetic and decisive leadership, his ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, and his commitment to building collaborative, high-performing teams.

His experience in navigating regulatory challenges, driving efficiency, and embedding a strong safety culture will be invaluable as Endeavour Energy continues to evolve and serve its customers and communities.
