Endeavour Energy achieves fifth consecutive five-star rating. in Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark
Endeavour Energy today announced it has achieved a five-star rating in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) for the fifth consecutive year.
Achieving its highest score of 98 out of 100 for the second consecutive year, this latest result shows Endeavour Energy also achieved a stakeholder engagement score of 100, highlighting the organisation-wide focus on customers, while ranking sixth amongst 17 participating electricity distribution companies worldwide and twentieth out of 112 public-private partnerships.
Endeavour Energy’s Chief Data, People and Sustainability Officer, Melissa Irwin, says: “As one of the best performing and most efficient electricity distribution networks in Australia, we recognise that a safe, reliable and sustainable electricity supply underpins the economic success of our communities and enables the people of NSW to thrive.
“Over the past year, we’ve continued to drive sustainability in every aspect of our business and decision making, including how we engage and empower our 1.2 million customers to participate in a clean energy future.
“We’re delighted that this has been recognised as global best practice, with a score of 100 in community and stakeholder engagement. We have also achieved 100 in leadership, policies, reporting, energy, greenhouse gas emissions as well as biodiversity & habitat and water.
“Achieving a Five-Star GRESB rating for the fifth consecutive year is a testament to our unwavering commitment and the collective effort of our entire organisation, suppliers and business partners.
“From managing SF6 leakage and prioritising the safety and wellbeing of our employees to offsetting vegetation impacts through nature-positive programs, by using the GRESB framework, we continually challenge ourselves to enhance sustainability practices while benchmarking our performance against utilities across the world.
“The results of this year’s GRESB Assessments are again a testament to the positive impact our focus on sustainability is having in paving the way for a brighter future for our customers and communities.
