Get on your bike to help kids in need at Western Sydney’s first ever Variety – Spin for Kids

In a first for Western Sydney, Endeavour Energy is hosting Variety Spin 4 Kids with teams invited to join in the friendly competition all in the name of helping kids in need for Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT.

Teams of 1-10 will take part in a 5-hour stationary bike challenge to see who will be the Kings and Queens of Spin, with titles also awarded for best dressed and fundraising champions.

“After two great years of participating in the Variety Spin for Kids event, we are delighted to host the event and bring it to Western Sydney for the first time,” said Endeavour Energy, Chief Data, People and Sustainability Officer, Melissa Irwin.

“As the electricity network that has been powering Western Sydney for over 130 years, our customers and community rely on us to support their daily lives and livelihoods. By hosting Variety Spin for Kids we are able to further support our community by bringing the business community together to raise much needed money for kids in need.

“Not only will participating teams raise money for this important charity, but they are sure to have a phenomenal time while doing so,” said Ms Irwin.

“Endeavour Energy has been flexing their fundraising and cycling muscle for Variety since 2021 when their team blitzed the competition and took out the award for Kings and Queen of Spin,” said Variety NSW/ ACT CEO, Tony Warner.

“We are excited to build on this vital partnership as they host our next Spin for Kids event and I encourage teams to join us as we come together to raise funds for children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability,” said Mr Warner.

Walker Chief Executive Officer David Gallant, said that Walker is thrilled to partner with Endeavour Energy on this fantastic initiative, hosting Western Sydney’s first ever Variety Spin 4 Kids event at our Parramatta Square towers.

“Lang Walker has always supported great causes which deliver strong outcomes for our community and the Walker team is up for the challenge, hard in training to push themselves to raise as much as we can for kids in need,” said Mr Gallant.

Teams can register to participate through Variety’s website. The event will be held from 9am-4pm, Friday 1 December at Endeavour Energy’s office in Parramatta Square.
