SOUTH COAST WIND STORM – Wednesday 25 June 10am

Endeavour Energy emergency crews are working to restore power to 12,300 customers in the Illawarra and South Coast after wild winds battered the coast overnight.

We have cancelled our planned maintenance work in these areas so crews can focus repair efforts of 282 hazards and network problems.

Worst affected areas in the Illawarra include Unanderra, Farmborough Heights and Berkley, where crews are working to restore supply to the Unanderra Zone substation.

Other areas main on the South Coast without supply include Huskisson, Shoalhaven Heads, Shell Cove, Erowal Bay, Hyams Beach, Dunmore, Ulladulla, Jaspers Brush, Berry, North Nowra.

With winds forecast to continue through to 5pm, we expect these figures to climb and it is possible some customers will be without supply overnight. Please check our website for latest estimated restoration times.

Where we have mobile numbers for customers, we will sms them to provide their latest estimated restoration times. We thank customers for their patience.
