Power and flood update - 4pm
After days of torrential rain and relentless downpours, Endeavour Energy’s network remains resilient and stable, with 400 properties currently without power.
We are continuing to implement our emergency response plans to protect customers and communities from the impacts of storm damage and flooding along the Colo, Hawkesbury, and Nepean Rivers.
To mitigate the serious risks posed by floodwaters and electricity, power has been proactively disconnected from approximately 100 low-lying properties at this time. This safety measure primarily involves irrigation pumps and outbuildings, although a small number of residential properties have been affected.
With rain and flood conditions continuing to evolve, Endeavour Energy is closely monitoring developments and remains ready to respond to ensure community safety.
Where safe to do so, our crews are continuing to restore power following unplanned outages caused by storm and flood damage. We are working with the NSW Government and emergency services to ensure an effective response to this ongoing incident.
