Endeavour Energy crews have remained deployed in large numbers today, with restoration efforts continuing into this evening following Saturday’s significant storm event. As of this afternoon, 769 customers remain without power.

Major repair works are underway across some of the hardest-hit areas, including Mount Tomah, Bilpin, Bells Line of Road, the Lower Mountains, Springwood, Penrith, Windsor, Londonderry and South Windsor. Crews are also working across the network to restore power to individual customer premises impacted by storm damage.

While significant progress has been made, some customers will remain without power overnight as complex repairs continue. Fresh crews will be mobilised tomorrow to maintain momentum and complete the work required to restore supply.

We thank customers for their patience and understanding. Our crews remain focused on restoring power safely and as quickly as possible.

Safety remains our highest priority. Customers are reminded to stay at least eight metres away from any fallen or damaged powerline, treat all powerlines as live and dangerous, and report them immediately by calling 131 003. In a life-threatening emergency, call 000.

Customer safety

  • Treat all powerlines as 'live' and dangerous by keeping at least 8m clear of them. Never drive across fallen powerlines
  • Avoid all contact with wires that are hanging low, or on the ground or tangled in trees
  • If using portable generators, please ensure they are located outside of your home and well away from open windows to avoid deadly exhaust fumes entering your home
  • Generators should never be connected to switchboards unless there is an isolation switch installed by a licensed electrician. This is to avoid sending electricity back up powerlines and making isolated parts of the network dangerous for workers and the broader community.
