Endeavour Energy has strengthened its long‑standing commitment to innovation, welcoming ten global clean‑tech scaleups through the EnergyLab Scaleup Program. This marks the sixth consecutive year of partnership between Endeavour Energy and EnergyLab, accelerate technologies to support the grid of the future.

Established in 2020 following extensive industry consultation and collaboration, the Scaleup Program connects leading energy companies with some of the world’s most advanced, deployment-ready startups.

Through its participation in the program, Endeavour Energy is working directly with innovators to test practical solutions to the challenges facing modern electricity networks. By trialling technologies in real world environments, the company is helping deliver a grid that is smarter, safer and more resilient for its customers and communities.

This hands‑on approach provides early access to global innovation and enables the co-creation of solutions that improve network performance, customer experience and operational efficiency.

The 2026 cohort brings together ten scaleups focused on addressing key network challenges. These challenges and priorities were shaped by Endeavour Energy to reflect the capabilities needed to support a more dynamic and responsive energy system. They include:

  • Improving visibility across the network with real-time tracking of assets, solar and battery connections, EV chargers and faults.
  • Strengthening network control through predictive and dynamic grid management, supported by remote diagnosis and maintenance.
  • Enhanced network forecasting, bringing together insights from assets, operations, customers and projects to support long‑term planning and guide replacement and maintenance decisions.

The cohort will also support efficiency and optimisation initiatives, including AI‑driven tools and smart hardware that improve job scheduling, routing, resource management, incident diagnosis and technical training.

Safety remains central to the program, with new technologies that enhance electrical safety and strengthen safe work practices across the organisation.

Endeavour Energy’s participation in the Program has already delivered meaningful outcomes, giving teams early access to high‑potential innovators such as Infravision, NEARA and VizAR. These collaborations have led to successful pilots and introduced new approaches to asset management, safety and field operations, demonstrating the value of pairing global innovation with real‑world network expertise.

Leanne Pickering, Chief Customer & Strategy Officer at Endeavour Energy, said the partnership continues to play a critical role in preparing the grid for the future.

“Endeavour Energy is constantly on the lookout for new innovations that can help us run our network more effectively and efficiently to better serve our communities. Our partnership with the EnergyLab scale-up program provides a structured platform to understand which solutions are maturing in the market and to engage with global pioneers where there is clear strategic fit and value,” said Ms Pickering.

The participating scaleups include:

FulcrumAirTransforming power line construction through robotics technology
