Rooty Hill Energy Savers Program

Endeavour Energy has launched an initiative to help major electricity consumers in the Rooty Hill / Glendenning industrial, commercial and surrounding residential area reduce their electricity consumption, particularly during peak times on the hottest summer days.

 

The project aims to:

 

• deliver lower power bills for customers
• reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• cut the cost of delivering the electricity network
• improve the security of the network

 

The Rooty Hill Energy Savers Program is expected to reduce emissions by 13,600 tonnes per year, equivalent to removing 3,000 cars from NSW roads.

 

Endeavour Energy is offering a free level one energy audit to suitable customers (carried out by Parsons Brinckerhoff) as well as financial incentives to those local customers who actively participate in the voluntary program.

 

Endeavour Energy is also seeking to implement demand and energy reducing initiatives in the residential sector.  This will include air conditioning management - CoolSaver and Peak Time Rebate programs - PeakSaver.
