Solar safety

Solar systems must be installed by workers accredited by the Clean Energy Council, with electrical wiring, metering and connection to the network undertaken by electricians licensed by the Department of Fair Trading.

Licensed electricians must provide customers with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work to demonstrate the work is completed to the appropriate standards.

If you have any questions about the safety of your solar installation you should contact the company who sold you the system, and not, under any circumstances, initiate your own checks or repairs.

Endeavour Energy has sent solar safety information to customers with solar installations. Click here for a copy of the letter.

Please note Endeavour Energy does not install or connect solar systems and after installation you are responsible for ensuring that your equipment is maintained in good working order.
