Gaining access to your meter

Endeavour Energy employees visit every single customer in our network area at least once, and generally four times a year, to read their meter. Many meters can be read without any disturbance to the property occupant but for those that are indoors or locked away, please help us gain access to them.

 

All meter readers carry clear personal identification and will be happy to share this with you when entering your property. With your support, our visits to your home or business can be brief and incident free.

 

Please:

 

  • ensure the area around your meter is clean and free from debris or obstacles
  • keep dogs secure or restrained
  • unlock any gates preventing access to your meter
  • remove any plants and shrubs that are blocking access to your meter

 

If Endeavour Energy is unable to read your meter we may need to estimate your consumption based on previous readings. Then if we have not been able to read your meter for some time, a special reading may have to be arranged.
