Frequently asked questions

Am I able to get work experience before I apply for an Apprenticeship?

Yes. Endeavour Energy gives year 10, 11 or 12 high school students the chance to do work experience with us to get the chance to develop possible career options.

This program gives students the chance to observe a variety of work situations, undertake well-supervised work in a safe environment, ask questions about the workplace and find out more about training and employment opportunities. For further info click here

Am I guaranteed a job at the end of the Apprenticeship?

The Apprenticeship usually takes four years to complete and is subject to the successful completion of a three month probationary period. When you complete your Apprenticeship, we will make every endeavour to offer you a permanent position, but we cannot guarantee it.

Remember, by becoming an Apprentice at Endeavour Energy, you will be joining a growth industry. There are already shortages of qualified electrical workers in Australia so the outlook for Apprentices in the industry is very good. Naturally, your performance as an Apprentice which includes not only your TAFE results but your on-the-job performance, attendance and team skills, is taken into account when considering your permanent employment with Endeavour Energy.
